Médiation de la consommation
If we cannot settle it between us
Article L. 612-1 of the Code de la consommation gives every consumer the right to have a dispute with a trader looked at, free of charge, by a consumer mediator. This page sets out how to reach us first, and how to reach a mediator if that does not work.
Step one: tell us
Most things are settled the same day. Write to support@chanamod.space, call +33 7 97 03 97 45 during Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 CET (closed on French public holidays), or write to 41 Rue Sedaine, 75011 Paris, France. Include your order reference and what you would like us to do.
We reply within one working day and give you a written answer within fourteen days. If we need longer, we will say so and why.
Step two: the consumer mediator
If our written answer does not resolve it, or if we have not answered within two months of your written complaint, you may refer the dispute to a mediator. It costs you nothing, you do not need a lawyer, and you may withdraw at any point.
- Mediator
- Médiateur du e-commerce (FEVAD)
- Address
- 60 rue La Boétie, 75008 Paris, France
- Online referral
- https://www.mediateurfevad.fr
Conditions for a referral to be accepted
- You have already tried to resolve it directly with us in writing.
- You refer it within one year of that written complaint.
- The dispute is not already before a court or another mediator.
- The dispute is a consumer one — it does not concern a purchase made for a business.
The mediator confirms whether the referral is admissible, hears both sides and proposes a solution. Neither of us is obliged to accept it, and you keep every right to go to court.
The European platform
For an online purchase made anywhere in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform, at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. It puts you in touch with an approved dispute resolution body in your own language. Give the email address support@chanamod.space as the trader contact.
Going to court
Mediation is optional. You may go straight to court, and as a consumer you may bring proceedings in the courts of the place where you lived when the contract was made, or where the harm occurred. Our terms are governed by French law, and nothing in them removes the protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you habitually live.
