Conditions générales de vente
Terms of sale
These terms govern every order placed on chanamod.space. They are written for consumers buying at a distance and are governed by French law, in particular the Code de la consommation. Placing an order means accepting them.
1. Who you are contracting with
- Seller
- CHANA MOD, trading as Sedaine
- Registered office
- 41 Rue Sedaine, 75011 Paris, France
- support@chanamod.space
- Telephone
- +33 7 97 03 97 45
- Customer service hours
- Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 CET (closed on French public holidays)
Company registration numbers are published on the legal notice.
2. What is sold
Women’s clothing and accessories, designed in Paris and cut in limited batches. Every piece listed states the number of units made in its batch, the number sold, the number remaining, and whether a further batch is planned. The number remaining is calculated from the batch and what has been sold; it is not a separate figure that can be adjusted.
Each piece also states its fibre composition, care instructions, country of manufacture, cloth weight, opacity rating and lining state, and describes how the cloth behaves — including creasing, surface marking and dye transfer where these apply. Flat garment measurements are given in centimetres with a tolerance of plus or minus one centimetre.
Photographs are taken to show the drape of the cloth. Colour may vary slightly between screens; this is a limitation of screens and is not a defect.
3. Prices
- All prices are in euro (EUR) and include French VAT at the applicable rate. Current prices run from €59 to €429.
- Delivery is not included in the item price. It is calculated and shown in full before you enter any payment details.
- The price that applies is the one displayed when you place your order. We may change prices at any time for future orders.
- Orders delivered outside the European Union may attract import duties and local taxes. These are payable by you to the carrier or the customs authority and are not collected by us.
4. Reductions and reference prices
This shop does not run a standing reduction. There is no permanent reduced-price section, no countdown, and no artificial scarcity: where a page says a batch is nearly through, that figure is the batch minus what has been sold.
Where a price is ever reduced, we will show, next to the reduced price:
- the reference price, being the lowest price at which we offered that same piece during the thirty days before the reduction; and
- the basis on which that reference price was established.
Where that basis does not exist, no struck-through price, no percentage and no saving is displayed at all. The site is built so that it cannot display one: a reduced price without a recorded reference basis is simply charged as the price, with no comparison shown.
Statutory promotional periods in France are fixed by decree. We use the vocabulary reserved to those periods only within the dates set by the authorities, and not outside them.
5. Placing an order
- Choose your pieces and sizes, and add them to the cart.
- Review the cart. The batch figure for each piece, the subtotal including VAT and the delivery charge are all shown here.
- At checkout, give the details needed to prepare and deliver the order, and confirm that you have read these terms and the personal data policy.
- Your basket is re-checked against the batch and re-priced from the catalogue before payment, so a piece cannot be sold twice.
- You are then taken to the secured payment page. Nothing is charged until you complete that step.
- Once payment succeeds we send an order confirmation by email, which forms the contract. Keep it: it is your proof of purchase.
We may decline an order where a batch has been exhausted between the cart and payment, where the delivery address is outside the countries we ship to, or where an order is clearly not made by a consumer for personal use. If we decline, nothing is charged.
6. Payment
- Accepted payment methods: Carte Bancaire (CB), Visa, Mastercard, American Express.
- The full amount, including delivery, is taken at the time of the order.
- Card details are entered on the secured payment page operated by our payment service provider. They are never transmitted to, seen by or stored on this site.
- Prices are charged in euro. If your card is denominated in another currency, your bank sets the exchange rate and may add its own fee.
- Goods remain our property until the price has been paid in full. Risk passes to you when the parcel is delivered to you or to a carrier you appointed yourself.
7. Delivery
Orders are packed within 1–3 working days of payment. Transit is typically 2–4 working days within mainland France, 3–7 working days elsewhere in the European Union and 6–14 working days beyond it. Charges, covered countries and what happens if a parcel is late, damaged or lost are set out in full on the delivery page. Delivery is included on orders over €150 within mainland France.
If we have not delivered within thirty days of the order, or by any later date we agreed with you, you may cancel the order by any durable means after asking us to deliver within a reasonable further period. We will then refund all sums paid within fourteen days.
8. Withdrawal, returns and refunds
You have 14 days from the day you or a person you nominate receives the parcel to withdraw from the order, without giving any reason and without penalty. The procedure, the condition pieces need to be in, who pays the return carriage, and the refund method and timing are all set out on the withdrawal, returns and refunds page, which also carries the standard withdrawal form.
9. Legal guarantees
Independently of your right to withdraw, every piece carries the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L. 217-3 and following of the Code de la consommation) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code). Both are set out separately, with the time limits and what you can ask for, on the guarantees page. Neither costs you anything.
10. Producer responsibility, sorting and environmental information
Clothing sold in France falls under the extended producer responsibility scheme for textiles, household linen and footwear.
- Scheme
- Refashion (textile, household linen and footwear)
- Unique identifier (IDU)
- Registration with ADEME is in progress. The identifier will be published here and on every product page as soon as it is issued. We do not display a number before it exists.
- Sorting instruction
- This garment is to be sorted. Take it to a textile collection point whatever its condition, clean, dry and in a closed bag. Full information is on the sorting and recycling page.
- Environmental characteristics
- Fibre composition, cloth weight in grams per square metre and country of manufacture are published on every piece. We make no claim that any piece is biodegradable, compostable, climate neutral or carbon offset.
11. Promotions
We run no membership, no subscription and no recurring charge of any kind. Nothing is shipped to you on a schedule. Where we offer a first-order code it is single use, stated with its expiry, and cannot be combined with another code. Where two pieces are offered together as a set, the set price is shown as a price in its own right, with each component’s batch figure listed separately; it is not presented as a reduction unless a reference price and its basis are shown alongside it.
Our release notification list is free. It sends one message when a series is released and nothing in between, and every message carries an unsubscribe link.
12. Personal data
What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights are set out on the personal data page. Cookies are covered on the cookies page, where refusing is exactly as easy as accepting.
13. Complaints, mediation and applicable law
Write to support@chanamod.space or call +33 7 97 03 97 45 first — most things are settled that way. If we cannot agree, you may refer the dispute free of charge to Médiateur du e-commerce (FEVAD), or use the European online dispute resolution platform. Both are on the mediation page.
These terms are governed by French law. Nothing in them removes the protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you habitually live. If any clause is held invalid, the rest continues to apply.
14. Changes
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and it is dated at the foot of this page.
